Do you crave for new adventures, and is your personal watercraft sick of going around in circles on the same lake? <strong>Why not plan a little trip on the water with a personal watercraft this summer!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s not like in the 90s anymore!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, personal watercrafts are way more stable, comfortable, powerful and spacious than the one we\u2019ve known in the 90s. Even though many boats sail on it during the summer, you can easily travel on it since it is very vast.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23497&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Your_itinerary\"><\/span>Your itinerary<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The hike I\u2019m suggesting can be done in a <strong>long day<\/strong> or can be spread over a <strong>weekend<\/strong>. It is a route that goes <strong>from Carillon to Ottawa. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It represents more or less <strong>7 hours of sailing<\/strong> in total (round trip), depending at what speed you meet the waves! This lake can be quite rough at times with big waves! It is thus a route for<strong> informed drivers with a level of experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Launching\"><\/span>Launching<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I suggest you launch your personal watercraft at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.info-marina.ca\/en\/explore\/lakes-and-rivers-43\/riviere-des-outaouais-30\/marina-du-camping-municipal-de-brownsburg-chatham-406\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marina of Brownsburg-Chatham\u2019s municipal campsite<\/a>. Located in a 2,5 miles cove upstream from Carillon lock, it is open to the public and equipped with recent and convenient facilities (a launching ramp, docks, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>It also has a parking space where you can park your vehicle and your trailer. Note that there will be launching and parking fees. Don\u2019t hesitate to visit their website for more details.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23501&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Just one gas tank will not be enough for the outward journey. You can however find many marinas on your way to refuel your personal watercraft with gas and\/or grab something to eat.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"On_your_way\"><\/span>On your way<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On your way, you will see the wonderful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairmont.com\/montebello\/?_ga=2.67784465.120164615.1660674367-1644994241.1660674367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fairmont Le Ch\u00e2teau Montebello<\/a>. It has a marina with visitor docks that are however limited to hotel guests.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in this place, I would suggest getting all the necessary information beforehand by directly contacting the hotel, so as to avoid unpleasant surprises.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23502&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Once_youre_there\"><\/span>Once you\u2019re there<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once in Ottawa, you\u2019ll be able to enjoy the view of Rideau Canal\u2019s locks and the city. It is both impressive and strange to see the city from this place, on the water. It is truly wonderful!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;24431&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mooring_good_food_and_bedtime\"><\/span>Mooring, good food and bedtime<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to eat something in a good restaurant, or even spend the night in Ottawa to spread your trip over two days, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilton.com\/en\/hotels\/yowovhf-hilton-lac-leamy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel<\/a> is a great option. Why this hotel?<\/p>\n<p>Because you can easily access it from the <a href=\"https:\/\/nautismequebec.com\/naviguer\/par-marina\/outaouais-34\/casino-du-lac-leamy-307\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lac-Leamy Casino marina<\/a>, located right next to it. You can access this marina from the river by a marked channel. By the way, it is beautiful to sail on it. This marina is accessible to both visitors and clients of the hotel and casino.<\/p>\n<p>Once you pay for your space, you can stay there for a few hours or the whole night.
