I&#8217;m more into cocooning, fireplace and Netflix! But one thing is for sure, I love to get out of my comfort zone and try new experiences. That&#8217;s why I immediately accepted a golden offer! <strong>To travel the snowy trails of central Quebec on a quad<\/strong>. I had no idea what to expect \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_beautiful_collaboration\"><\/span>A beautiful collaboration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It was when shooting the <strong>Chicks And Machines show<\/strong> very soon broadcast on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rds.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RDS<\/a>, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tourismecentreduquebec.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tourisme Centre-du-Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/can-am.brp.com\/off-road\/us\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Can-Am Offroad<\/a>, that I accepted a beautiful invitation. I was invited to <strong>discover the Centre-du-Quebec region this time on a quad and in winter<\/strong>! I can assure you that I had no idea what kind of adventure I was getting into but most of all, how much I would have to leave my comfort zone!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28298&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Let_the_adventure_begin\"><\/span>Let the adventure begin!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>DAY 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s in Victoriaville that Cyndi, me and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois, our cameraman, were meeting. Specifically at the <a href=\"https:\/\/hotellevictorin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hotel le Victorin<\/a> where we would spend the night. Once we reached our rooms, we started a little meeting to discuss the last details of our adventure.<\/p>\n<p>Our bellies were crying out for food and we headed to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.levasion.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Complexe \u00c9vasion<\/a> to meet Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Beaupr\u00e9 from Tourisme Centre-du Qu\u00e9bec to enjoy a good meal in good company. I had already met Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne during my <strong>motorcycle trip to Centre-du-Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong> in the spring of 2022.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28304&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28300&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28302&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>L\u2019H\u00f4tel le Victorin<\/strong> : 19 Boul. Le Victorin is a well-known hotel in Victoriaville by snowmobilers and quad riders. It&#8217;s a great place to stay because <strong>it&#8217;s accessible by trail and<\/strong> it is where motorsport enthusiasts stop to sleep, eat or simply warm up.<\/p>\n<p>Many amenities are available upon reservation such as a <strong>swimming pool, an indoor and outdoor spa, a training room, an Azure spa, a Laurier restaurant<\/strong>&#8230; It even accepts pets and offers charging stations for electric vehicles. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>After a few moments in the indoor spa to relax, it was time to go to sleep because the next day began our quad adventure!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28290&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28292&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>DAY 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The starting point was <a href=\"https:\/\/performancenc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Performance NC<\/a> in Princeville to pick up our machines courtesy of Can-Am Off-Road. This is also where Marie-\u00c8ve Lambert from <strong>Tourisme Centre-du-Quebec<\/strong> joined us to wish us a good trip and introduce us to <strong>Danny Laflamme<\/strong>, an exceptional woman who was joining us for our trail adventure!<\/p>\n<p>Danny is a trucker and she joins us to share her passion for trucks and her unconventional journey. Don&#8217;t miss her appearance in the Chicks And Machines show on RDS!<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_machines_are_ready_and_off_we_go\"><\/span>The machines are ready and off we go!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It is on a beautiful sunny day, although very cold, that we start our trip. I start my journey driving the <strong>two-seater side-by-side.<\/strong> I&#8217;m really looking forward to see the performance in the snow and to experience winter driving. A first for me!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28320&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The condition of the trails makes it a bit difficult for the quads to ride because the snow is very soft. Nevertheless, the trails are beautiful in winter!<\/p>\n<p><strong>We ride for miles in the forest, crossing fields and breathtaking spaces. Our route brings us to beautiful viewpoints to admire the landscape that surrounds us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"First_stop_Princeville\"><\/span>First stop: Princeville<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We are in the forest and the trees protect us from the wind, which is a chance given how cold it is. That&#8217;s part of the winter sport! Not being used to riding on trails in winter, I am very surprised by the reaction of the side-by-side in the snow. Having ridden similar machines in the summer, I can tell you that I had to adapt my riding to winter conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Summer versus winter, I quickly realize that these two sports are the opposite and that I am living a completely crazy experience! I love it! On the trail, the vehicles skid safely, of course, and we have a lot of fun!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28322&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>We take our way back to St-Val\u00e8re. The sky is blue, no clouds. Cyndi, Danny and I are having a great time in the snow!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bulstrode_River\"><\/span>Bulstrode River<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28312&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;27707&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Afterwards, we go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rivi%C3%A8re_Bulstrode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bulstrode River<\/a> where a superb bridge allows us to admire the icy river. The nature is calm and soothing!<\/p>\n<p>We then pass by <a href=\"https:\/\/saintnorbertdarthabaska.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">St-Norbert-d&#8217;Artabraska<\/a> and continue our way to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saintesophiedhalifax.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ste-Sophie-d&#8217;Halifax<\/a> to see the <a href=\"https:\/\/pontscouverts.com\/blogue\/pont-lambert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lambert covered bridge<\/a>. A covered bridge means a short stop, no matter what the season is. The bridge is located on the Lambert Road and spans the Bulstrode River.<\/p>\n<p>Built in 1948, it is 89 feet long and three and a half meters high. This bridge is worth a visit. The rural road that lead us there is lined with patches of trees interspersed with flat expanses that allowed us to see the majestic hills in the distance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28316&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>If you are in the area, I suggest you stop at the<strong> club&#8217;s shelter<\/strong> to take a little break and warm up a bit!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Change_of_plan\"><\/span>Change of plan<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Our original itinerary included a stop at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupre.ca\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meadows Complex<\/a> for lunch. Unfortunately, the difficult trail conditions made us change our plan. We contacted Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne from Tourisme Centre-du-Qu\u00e9bec who redirected us to <strong>Plessisville<\/strong> where we had to go to the<a href=\"https:\/\/fromagerievictoria.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Fromagerie Victoria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;27721&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;27723&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The Victoria cheese factory is a little jewel<\/strong> to discover! The atmosphere is welcoming and the decor is superb! I would qualify the menu as a luxury canteen. The poutines are <strong>delicious and elaborate.<\/strong> Cyndi and I had a big crush on the POP poutine with fried cheese curds! It&#8217;s late afternoon and the sun is slowly setting. We stop for a moment to admire a beautiful sun going down behing the hills.<\/p>\n<p>In front of us, the fiery sky. To our right, a snowy field that adds to the surreal calm of this place. Cyndi, Danny and I were all very happy as we watched the beautiful colors in the sky.
