de Montmagny<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>On <strong>July 14th 2023<\/strong>, the<strong> 4th edition<\/strong> of the <strong>Women\u2019s Moto Sport Course<\/strong> event will take place. It is organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mbracing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MBRacing<\/a> in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100063128445894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pete Moto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After a strong request from the women riders around me, I put forward this event to help and inspire them. Several women have told me that they would like to try the close circuit, but that they feel intimidated by the presence of men.<\/p>\n<p>It is therefore with great pleasure that I am partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodromemontmagnyspeedway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autodrome Montmagny<\/a> motorcycle director Pierre Bolduc, know as Pete Moto, to create a special day for women.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;28983&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_track_is_magic\"><\/span>The track is magic<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The track is magical because it gives a <strong>great boost of confidence<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>in yourself, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>in your abilities, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>in our bike and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>in our tires. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Indeed, the tools that we acquire on the track help us enormously to <strong>increase our skills to maneuver our motorbike<\/strong> and therefore our <strong>self-confidence<\/strong>. The more we push our machine, our limits, the more we realize that our tires still hold on the pavement and that<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>our only limit is ourselves.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is what I wanted to show women by creating this day design especially for them.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous years, the event was sold out and a waiting list had to be created as the enthousiast was strong. I am proud of the success of this day, but particularly proud of all the students. Each year, they outdo themselves, they overcome their fear, walked away with a smile on their face, and that is priceless. This is what drives us to continue year after year.<\/p>\n<p>Many come back every year. But I definitely wanted to practice my turns.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"-What_did_you_learn\"><\/span>-What did you learn ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>I learned that track racing is definitely a sport. I learned that it&#8217;s sooooo technical and requires you to be on good shape! I learned the proper body position, how to keep a proper line, when to start leaning and where to look, as well as different tires and their importance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"-What_did_you_gain_by_doing_the_training\"><\/span>-What did you gain by doing the training ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>I gained an unexpected but tremendous confidence boost! I feel a lot more comfortable on the road. Now that I feel more in control of the beast, I can focus on analyzing the road and drivers to stay safer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"-What_were_you_biggest_difficulties\"><\/span>-What were you biggest difficulties ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>Before: overall bike control and turns.<\/p>\n<p>During: throttle control. I either go too slow or too fast, and it was jerky here and there which stopped me from leaning more, following the proper line, and just be smooth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"-What_has_been_your_biggest_accomplishment\"><\/span>-What has been your biggest accomplishment ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>Improving turns. This event is <strong>open to all levels.<\/strong> Whether it\u2019s your first season on a motorcycle or you have several years of experience on the track\u00a0; we will assess your level in order to properly divide the groups.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on what each student will have to work on, we will also see, without being limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the lines to take on the track,<\/li>\n<li>the position to adopt on your motorcycle in turns,<\/li>\n<li>the breaking and acceleration zones and techniques,<\/li>\n<li>as well as the throttle control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each instructor will<strong> asses the major points to work on for each student<\/strong> in order to help them progress on their biggest difficulties. It&#8217;s important to bring more women on the tracks, because they as well have their place in this beautiful sport. Although the road and the track are two very different things, <strong>riding on the track greatly improves your skills on the road.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So whether it is to improve your skills for the streets or to start a new passion for the track, these courses are for you!
