This is also why we decided to build a partnership with the insurance company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bc-assur.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BC Assur<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This company immediately won us over with its values so close to ours. <strong>It is precisely thanks to them that, this year again, Chicks And Machines is carbon neutral.<\/strong> By the way, we have been proudly since 2021. Of course, our partner BC Assur is too.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"But_here_I_am_talking_to_you_about_carbon_neutrality_and_you_say_to_yourself_%E2%80%9Cwhat_is_it_exactly%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><strong>But here, I am talking to you about carbon neutrality and you say to yourself: \u201cwhat is it exactly?\u201d<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>To offset its greenhouse gas emissions, Chicks And Machines contributes to the<a href=\"https:\/\/carboneboreal.uqac.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Carbone Bor\u00e9al initiative of the Eco-Consulting Chair of the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC)<\/a>. A big step to counter global warming![\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;29860&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Carbone bor\u00e9al is a greenhouse gas (GHG) offset program by planting trees.<\/strong> The initiative allows organizations and individuals to offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from their businesses, organizations, activities, family life, etc. The compensation is calculated from a study done on black spruce in the boreal forest.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;29862&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]In addition to compensating for its own consumption, Chicks And Machines compensates for each of its collaborators in their passion. This is a significant contribution since a snowmobile, for example, releases into the atmosphere about half a ton of carbon dioxide per year (which is equivalent to 2400 km).[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;29858&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]The powersports industry is working hard to reduce emissions and improve the fuel efficiency of motor vehicles. It is also embarking on a green shift with, among other things, the emergence of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>However,<strong> I believe we all have a responsibility to protect our environment<\/strong>. Actions like this make us think about our consumption and what we can do to become more and more eco-responsible in the practice of our passions.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, carbon neutrality isn&#8217;t just about businesses. It is possible to do your part as an individual.
