I was intrigued by its handling and its power and I was already looking forward to riding it!<\/p>\n<p>We took possession of the Honda Rebel at <a href=\"https:\/\/r.search.yahoo.com\/_ylt=AwrihRcPcwhl9OcSGH3rFAx.;_ylu=Y29sbwNiZjEEcG9zAzEEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3Ny\/RV=2\/RE=1696262159\/RO=10\/RU=https%3a%2f%2fwww.hondadeboucherville.com%2fen\/RK=2\/RS=U3gQFTE70CmKwP7.7Oh2LyYuVaE-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honda Canada in Boucherville<\/a>. Besides her looks, another thing caught my eye; what a surprise to discover that our motorcycles were equipped with the dual clutch transmission (DCT).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_DCT\"><\/span>What is DCT?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">It&#8217;s a manual transmission, but automated. It works like a manual transmission, but the gears shift automatically. All you have to do is enjoy the road without thinking about changing gears.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30859&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]If you still want to change your gears yourself, the handlebars are equipped with buttons that allow you to drive the motorcycle manually.<\/p>\n<p>There are three modes available:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Standard<\/strong> \u2013 this is the one I started my journey with. To get to know your bike, it&#8217;s ideal. The accelerations are smooth and this partly contains the power of the bike.<\/li>\n<li>Then comes the<strong> rain mode<\/strong> that I was able to test during the showers that fell on us. I loved it, feeling comfortable and safe since this function increases traction and reduces speed.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, <strong>sport mode<\/strong>. This is where the motorcycle takes on its full meaning. It is powerful and the clutch is quicker and more aggressive. What fun I had with this mode!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30855&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>You can also customize your own mode according to your driving preferences<\/strong>. You can adjust the power, traction, engine braking and clutch aggressiveness so that the bike responds to the type of rider you are.<\/p>\n<p>No matter which mode you use, the gear change is smooth. You barely feel the change and the power is well delivered.<\/p>\n<p>The engine has pleasant and well-balanced power. It allows us lively accelerations and a lot of fun.<\/p>\n<p>There is also cruise control, which I greatly appreciate for long drives. This should be a requirement on all motorcycles.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_real_question_Did_I_like_DCT\"><\/span>The real question: Did I like DCT?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>At first, I wasn&#8217;t sure&#8230; a motorcycle on which I don&#8217;t change gears? Really ?<\/p>\n<p>As the miles went by, I began to get a taste for it. At the start of the trip I was looking for the clutch and gears. On the other hand, the more I drove, the more I fully savored the freedom that the DCT offers. You can simply enjoy the road without worrying about changing gears and therefore fully admire the landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a bit like the transmission is thinking for you and reacting perfectly to your driving. It&#8217;s quite impressive.<\/p>\n<p>I think Marie-Pier also really enjoyed her experience![\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30841&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]This transmission will appeal to certain customers who are looking for <strong>simplicity in driving.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having to think about so many things at once: the brakes, the clutch, the gears, the accelerator&#8230; can be quite anxiety-inducing. These drivers will no longer have this worry and will be able to enjoy the road with one less worry!<\/p>\n<p>Certain people with injuries or health problems that prevent them from driving will also be able to rediscover the joy of driving a motorcycle in complete peace of mind thanks to the DCT.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that this technology will open the door to another clientele and make our sport more accessible.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30843&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_I_loved_the_suitcases_its_windshield_and_its_ease_of_driving\"><\/span>What I loved: the suitcases, its windshield and its ease of driving<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Rebel is equipped with suitcases and I was delighted since I am used to always having them on my vehicle to store my essentials. I was going on a road trip, I needed space and all my luggage fit into both suitcases. No need for a backpack, it&#8217;s perfect. In addition, the suitcases lock, so no more stress during your stops, everything is safe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30845&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]The windshield is simply awesome. It is high and protects well from wind and rain. It kept me warm when it got colder.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance this motorcycle may seem imposing but it is really an illusion; it is low, well balanced and behaves wonderfully. The Rebel is a delight to drive, you quickly become comfortable and feel fully in control. Despite its power, it remains accessible to all levels of motorcyclist. For slightly smaller people, it is ideal.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to its ride, I loved its comfort on long trips. I did not feel any fatigue or discomfort in my driving position.
