It\u2019s like I\u2019ve been trying to make up for all the time I lost not riding\u2014because it was as a teenager that I promised myself I\u2019d own a Ninja. It took me 30 years to keep that promise to myself.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"556\">Here\u2019s everything I would have missed if I had told myself I was too old\u2026<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40189&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1btnlh2\" data-start=\"563\" data-end=\"582\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEASON_1_2022\"><\/span>SEASON 1 [2022]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"818\">Three weeks after getting my learner\u2019s permit, I was stressed in corners. I told myself: no\u2014I\u2019m not going to risk having a heart attack every time I take a highway exit. So I signed up for my first advanced riding course at <a href=\"https:\/\/pete-moto.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pete Moto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1105\">I was one of only two women there. I was the least experienced and, unsurprisingly, the slowest of all participants. With my \u201csmall bike\u201d and my Ninja 650, surrounded by high-performing guys on their supersports, I could have felt intimidated\u2014but I didn\u2019t. That course changed my life.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1248\">That summer, I went back twice and rode over 20,000 km across Quebec and Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40275&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"23n7hw\" data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1274\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEASON_2_2023\"><\/span>SEASON 2 [2023]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1441\">At Expo-Moto, I met the amazing Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChicksAndMachines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicks and Machines<\/a>, who asked me:<br data-start=\"1360\" data-end=\"1363\" \/>\u201cDo you want to be a collaborator?\u201d<br data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1401\" \/>\u201cUmm\u2026 YES, I want to be a collaborator!\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1585\">Thank you for all these incredible opportunities: <a href=\"https:\/\/chicksandmachines.com\/en\/motorcycles-en\/cfmoto-650-nk-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bike tests<\/a>, days at <a href=\"https:\/\/chicksandmachines.com\/en\/motorcycles-en\/fast-riding-school-partie-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAST Riding School<\/a>, advanced training at <a href=\"https:\/\/chicksandmachines.com\/moto\/lc-moto-perfectionnement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LC Moto<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/chicksandmachines.com\/en\/motorcycles-en\/roadtrip-la-tuque\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">girls\u2019 road trips<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1667\">That summer, I went back to Pete Moto at least 8 times, with another 20,000+ km.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1pag29e\" data-start=\"1674\" data-end=\"1693\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEASON_3_2024\"><\/span>SEASON 3 [2024]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1695\" data-end=\"1854\">At Expo-Moto (yes, again!), I met the team from the late Fly &amp; Ride, who asked me:<br data-start=\"1777\" data-end=\"1780\" \/>\u201cDo you want to be a guide?\u201d<br data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"1811\" \/>\u201cUmm\u2026 YES! Of course I want to be a guide!\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1856\" data-end=\"2044\">After my trial in June and my first real trip as a guide in September, I was HOOKED\u2014I wanted more! So I trained to become a travel agent and specialized in North American motorcycle trips.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40277&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"11r55x0\" data-start=\"2147\" data-end=\"2166\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEASON_4_2025\"><\/span>SEASON 4 [2025]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2366\">My season started in February! Yes, February\u2014with over 4,000 km starting from Phoenix to the Mexican border\u2026 before riding through the <strong>Canadian Rockies<\/strong> twice and the <strong>Grand Circle<\/strong> for the third time.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40203&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40279&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2411\" data-end=\"2690\">At the end of November 2025, our carrier shut down. It felt like the end of the world\u2014I was losing my dream job. But thanks to our passionate team, we grabbed the throttle and became <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/flynride.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fly n\u2019Ride \u00c9vasion<\/a>, through a collaboration with our affiliated travel agency and a new carrier.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"pwtyly\" data-start=\"2697\" data-end=\"2716\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SEASON_5_2026\"><\/span>SEASON 5 [2026]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2718\" data-end=\"2916\">The adventure continues. This year, several trips are planned, including the famous all-women Chicks &amp; Machines trip (<a href=\"https:\/\/chicksandmachines.com\/moto\/chicks-n-fly-femmes-prennent-la-route\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biketoberfest Chicks n\u2019 Fly<\/a>), and a brand-new motorcycle collaboration in Italy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"3034\">As a motorcycle travel advisor, I have the privilege of meeting and talking with passionate riders every single day.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40281&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3116\" data-end=\"3296\">At every opportunity, I encourage women to take their course and ride on their own.<br data-start=\"3199\" data-end=\"3202\" \/>BUT\u2026 there\u2019s one comment I hear way, way too often, and I quote:<br data-start=\"3266\" data-end=\"3269\" \/><em>\u201cI\u2019m way too old for that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3298\" data-end=\"3533\">Honestly, girl\u2014I can\u2019t hear that excuse about your age anymore. Respectfully, my ability to listen to you say you\u2019re too old to chase your dream is completely exhausted. I\u2019m begging you: silence that tiny, annoying little voice. \ud83e\udd10\ud83e\udd2b\ud83d\ude4f<\/p>\n<p>I passed my motorcycle course at 42\u2026 and I asked this question on social media:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><em>\u201cHelp me find her\u2014I\u2019m looking for THE woman who took her motorcycle course the latest in life, so I can use her as an example the next time someone tells me that.<\/em><\/span><br data-start=\"3783\" data-end=\"3786\" \/><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><em>Ladies, how old were you when you started riding?\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3838\" data-end=\"3989\"><strong>And the responses poured in\u2014stories more inspiring than the last, filled with courage, achievements, challenges, self-growth, and a thirst for freedom.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"3991\" data-end=\"4031\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"They_did_it_And_they_never_looked_back\"><\/span>They did it. And they never looked back.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"4038\" data-end=\"4201\"><strong>Jos\u00e9e M\u00e9nard<\/strong> also started at <strong>42<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4038\" data-end=\"4201\">\u201c16 years later, I\u2019m still riding and no one can stop me. I have friends who are 72 and still ride\u2014some are even road captains.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4203\" data-end=\"4400\"><strong>Dominique Plante<\/strong> had dreamed of riding since she was a teenager:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4203\" data-end=\"4400\"><em>\u201cI dreamed about it since I was 15\u2026 For my 50th birthday, my life partner gifted me my course. No more back seat\u2014freedom is mine!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4402\" data-end=\"4562\"><strong>Line Legendre<\/strong> started at <strong>56<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4402\" data-end=\"4562\">\u201cEleven years later, three bikes, 100,000 km, and the same passion! I just came back from the Grand Circle and I was blown away.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4564\" data-end=\"4717\"><strong>Annie Tousignant<\/strong> had never even ridden a scooter:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4564\" data-end=\"4717\">\u201cAt <strong>52<\/strong>, I took my course. A Sportster 883, then a Fat Bob, and for the past two years, a Road Glide!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4719\" data-end=\"4976\"><strong>St\u00e9phanie Perreault<\/strong> believes it\u2019s never too late:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4719\" data-end=\"4976\">\u201cI took my course at <strong>44<\/strong>\u2014a dream buried since my teenage years. For my 50th, I went solo through Maine, New Brunswick, and PEI! And the cherry on top\u2014I bought my first brand-new bike: a 2025 Ninja 1100 SX!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4978\" data-end=\"5110\"><strong>Annie Vient<\/strong> started at <strong>48<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4978\" data-end=\"5110\">\u201cI love it and always want more! It wasn\u2019t easy\u2014I repeated full modules, paid for private lessons\u2026 but I made it.
