Her Moto is a British Columbia-based company whose mission is to create quality off-road motorcycle equipment for women.
How many times have you wanted to buy a motocross kit before realizing that you had the choice between getting a men’s kit that is not adapted to women’s curves or settling for the few choices there are in the women section?
In fact, the few manufacturers who offer a women’s range have few choices of colors, styles and sizes compared to the men’s collections. It’s better than a few years ago but it’s not yet won.
At Her Moto the only choice you will have to make is: What is the most beautiful color for me?
This Canadian company has focused on the needs of women in this market and is committed to providing high-quality clothing that suits all female body types.
I had the chance to try out a 2024 kit and was impressed in so many ways!
Being comfortable and stylish is possible!
The collections follow one another but are not alike. I’ve been watching them for a long time and seeing a lot of girls wearing them on the networks. Both Mx and Enduro girls.
I really wanted to try but since I had had a bad experience in the past with the women’s range from one of the giants of the industry, I was reluctant.
So I communicated with them on Instagram and they responded immediately, assuring me that the size chart was very precise and that we couldn’t make a mistake.
Indeed, once the sizes were taken correctly, I could see that they looked similar to the sizes I normally wore in other brands. I was also told that the 2024 collection was coming out in the coming months and that my wait would be worth it.
AND HOW!!!
Trousers:
The new Pro-Line model has been redesigned for greater comfort and durability.
Small improvement this year, the addition of two Velcro adjustments at the waist so you can adjust the size according to your tastes, an extra high waist so you never find your back exposed and more space at the knees so you can be comfortable no matter which knee pads you use.
At the waist, a rubber band has been added so that your shirt stays in place in your pants.
The sizing chart is very realistic compared to other brands I have tried in the past and it covers size 2 up to 16. I took a size larger than my everyday pant size since I I like to be comfortable.
It is ventilated in several places to be comfortable on hot summer days but still thick so it can be worn on cooler days. It is only available in black but it goes really well with all colors of Her Moto jersey!
Jersey:
The one thing that makes all the difference!!!
Available in colors that are just as pretty as the others, there really is something for all styles.
It’s super stretchy, so perfect for wearing the safety gear underneath without feeling stuck.
The fabric is light, ventilated and of high quality. With a mesh panel on each side, you get maximum ventilation and this allows you to stay dry even in very hot weather.
It perfectly fits the feminine form since it has been cut into an hourglass shape.
It is also longer at the back to cover your back well when you ride.
Dye tests have been carried out on the fabrics so that you don’t have any unpleasant surprises. It’s always disappointing when the colors of a piece of clothing become dull after many washes. This won’t happen to you with the Her Moto kits 😊
As I said above, you can get all the jerseys, buy just one pair of pants and still feel like you have a different kit every day!
Gloves:
Did you say “Tactile Gloves”?!?
Oh yeah!!!
Your index and middle fingers can easily navigate your phone without needing to remove your gloves. Practical when we want to take a quick photo on our motorbike or when we want to start our timer on our smart watch for “Lap times”.
Once again, we have a super stretchy, ventilated and comfortable fabric. The glove is easy to put on and the small silicone strips on the fingers provide good adhesion to the clutch and brake levers.
Her Moto also offers motorcycle socks, glasses and some pieces of everyday clothing. Check out their site, you won’t be disappointed!
What I thought about it
Strong points:
- The quality of the fabrics
- The whole look
- Clothes are designed for feminine curves
- Comfort
- The fact that I can have just one pair of pants and 6 different jerseys (perfect for someone like me who doesn’t like to always wear the same thing)
- A Canadian company that wants to highlight women in the world of off-road motorcycles. That really spoke to me!
Points to improve:
- I found that there was a little too much room in the thigh area for the pants. It’s less flattering.
- The jersey is very long at the back so if you have a smaller trunk this may bother you.
In conclusion,
I loved my test and I plan to show off my Her Moto kit on the motocross tracks in Quebec this season! I advise you to subscribe to their social networks if you want 100% female dirt bike content!
