Meet Harley-Davidson's ICONS collection
After sharing a few blurred images over the last few weeks, this Monday April 26th, Harley-Davidson officially unveiled an extraordinary series of motorcycles inspired by some of its most recognizable and sought-after models.
Each Icon in the collection will celebrate H-D’s iconic colours, designs and parts, as well as the latest technology. Each year, one model will be produced and numbered to create rareness. This new Icon will debut each year and no more than two bikes will be released per year.
The first iconic 2021 model is reminiscent of the 1969 FLH (Electra Glide) motorcycle. Remember the whitewall tires and three-tone paint? This new 2021 Electra Glide Revival will bring together the past, present and future in a single bike. This first model will feature current Harley-Davidson technologies, including the Boom! Box GTS 6.5 entertainment system and the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine.
The Electra Glide Revival is offered in a unique colour scheme inspired by the original 1969 colour scheme: the Hi-Fi Blue / Birch White colour really shines!
On the 2021 model, the solo seat seems flatter and higher than what you’ll find on current models. There will be only 1,500 bikes available worldwide.
According to Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Styling & Design: “The Electra Glide Revival model is an oasis in this daily turbulence, a way to reconnect with the fundamental Harley-Davidson DNA that created Grand American Touring.”
The revival bike is perfect for the nostalgic rider who wants a unique and timeless bike.
A bit of History on the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide
The Electra Glide was introduced in 1965, continuing the FL series, and replacing the Duo Glide. The Electra Glide was the first Harley-Davidson to receive an electric starter (hence the name “Electra”). It uses the 1212cc Panhead engine used on all big twins since 1948.

If you’re interested in this bike, be sure to contact your dealer quickly, because only a few bikes will be available in Canada. Since the unveiling of the first images on social media, debates have been heated, and fans of the vintage look love it.
Here is a video produced at the Harley-Davidson Museum that explains the idea behind this new “Icons” collection:
What do you think will be the next bike in the ICONS collection? All bets are off!
In closing, there are more great surprises in store for Harley-Davidson this year. Dealers are patiently waiting for the arrival of the Pan America adventure bike in dealerships (in a few weeks), and a new custom model is also coming. Here is a new image that was recently unveiled for this new 1200 custom bike, which will have the same engine as the Pan America bike: the Revolution Max engine.
