Snowmobile lover gift guide 2022
Do you struggle with what to gift the snowmobile fanatic in your life?
Here is a handy guide to help you this holiday season!
TOP 5 GIFTS FOR A SNOWMOBILER
5. Brand new high-quality gear (bonus points if it matches the brand new snowmobile)
4. Fresh snowfall each week from mid-November to end of March (the more the better)
3. Full season supply of premium fuel and 2-stroke oil
2. All-expense paid snowmobile trip to the mountains (2-3 trips be even better)
And last but certainly not least …
1. A brand new snowmobile!!
Oh – sorry!
I put in there what MY “wish list” is!
I suppose these items might be a “little bit” out of budget or ability for you, the gifter.
If that is the case … here is a gift-guide list that might be a little more within budget (and still keep that snowmobiler plenty happy):
BUDGET-FRIENDLY GIFTS FOR A SNOWMOBILER
Balaclava or neck warmer – depending on the type of riding your giftee does:
– Trail rider would likely want a heavier (polar) balaclava
– Mountain or off-trail rider would prefer a lighter balaclava
Check out Gears Canada for a great selection of balaclavas and neck warmers at a reasonable price!
I have used their Thermaltex Balaclava and I like it, check it out here:
Heated gear – for that person who always has cold hands and cold feet.
Here is a great Canadian company to find heated gear at a price that will not break the bank.
Most of these are able to plug into the snowmobile:
They have many more items as well including vests and jackets
They also have some cordless ones with lightweight batteries!
Fuel gift card
Go to your local gas station – most can provide a gift card in whatever amount you like! These make a great stocking stuffer or to put in a card. We all know how expensive fuel is lately.
Tools / Tool kit
This doesn’t have to be anything really fancy – you can put your own kit together with some nice on-sale wrenches and Allen keys from Canadian Tire!
If you want a pre-made kit, a great option can be found here (another proud Canadian company):
MountainLab Gear Backcountry Tool Kit ($139.99 CAD)
Jug of proper brand snowmobile oil
Do some snooping around the shed or garage to find out what brand of oil your snowmobiler likes to use!
Extra pair of gloves
What preferred brand does your snowmobiler wear?
Have a peek in their gear to see what gloves they wear and buy them an extra pair!
Trust me, nobody likes having damp gloves so it is important to always have a spare.
GoPro mount kits
We all love to have video of our adventures and shenanigans! I have found that the GoPro “sticky” flat mounts do not stick well in the cold, and nobody wants to lose the precious camera in the snow!
Some ideas here would be:
- Handlebar mount
- Chest mount
- Screw-on type that mount through helmet visor
- RAM Mounts
- Dango Design gripper mount
I use this product and I love it!
Trenchers Muzzl kit ($89.99 CAD) for chin mount (specific to a CKX Titan helmet).
Tow strap kit
You never know when a breakdown may happen and someone needs a tow out!
Be prepared with this kit from MountainLab Gear ($34.99 CAD). I have used this set personally and I will say that it works amazing, and is very compact to fit in a tunnel bag or pack.

A saw is a very handy item to have – often there are trees down across the trail that need to be cut out of the way, or it can be used to cut wood to make a fire (for food or in an emergency situation).
MountainLab Gear makes a couple of great, compact high quality items. I have these in my tunnel bag and they have certainly come in handy!
You can also double up on a great gift and look for a shovel that has a saw in the handle!
Snow bungee
This is another very handy item to keep in the tunnel bag! This helps with a “ski-pull” when stuck, or can help a person get unstuck on their own without help.
This is a SnoBunje brand, I have this one and it has certainly come in handy!
Shovel
Shovels are not only for the mountain riders! We ride mainly in the prairies, and let me tell you that I will not ride without a shovel! They come in very handy in the heavy, wet snow or anytime your fellow rider is stuck.
There are many different brands with varying prices, and as mentioned above you can get 2 gifts in one if you get a shovel with a saw in the handle!
I hope this list can help you find a gift for that hard-to-shop-for snowmobiler in your life!
Being a snowmobile fanatic, trust me when I say that any gift where someone thinks of you and your favorite hobby will ALWAYS be met with great appreciation!
